Barley Soup

Ingredients

2tbsp Barley (jau), soaked for 2 hrs and drained

1tsp finely chopped spring onions white & green

1 med finely chopped carrots

1 med chopped tomatoes

2 tbsp chopped coriander

2 tbsp whole masoor dal washed and drained

1 tbsp garlic chopped

Salt to taste

Black pepper powder to taste

1tsp oil

Directions

1Heat oil in pressure cooker, add garlic and spring onions white and saute for few mins

2Add carrots, masoor ,barley ,salt, 4 1/2 cup water mix well and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles

3Transfer the mixture in a pan add tomatoes, spring onion greens, coriander, salt and pepper and mix well.Bring to boil and cook for 3-4 mins.

4Serve hot
